This Privacy Notice describes how SparkType.ai ("SparkType.ai", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our website and services (the "Service"). SparkType.ai is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service. Contact: hi@sparktype.ai.

- Account data: email address, display name, authentication identifiers, password hashes.
- Usage data: prompts you submit, lenses you select, generated outputs, feature usage, daily quotas.
- Device & log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, timestamps, error logs.
- Support data: messages you send us and metadata about those communications.
- Billing data: subscription status, plan, customer identifiers. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider (Paddle) — we do not store card numbers.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Provide the Service — to create your account, generate prompts and run lenses (legal basis: contract).
- Billing & subscription management — to fulfil paid plans through Paddle (legal basis: contract).
- Security and fraud prevention — to protect accounts and detect abuse (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Service improvement and analytics — to understand usage and improve features (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Customer support — to respond to enquiries (legal basis: legitimate interests / contract).
- Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws (legal basis: legal obligation).
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers / subprocessors: cloud hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and AI model providers used to deliver the Service.
- Merchant of Record: Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund processing.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and compliance advisors as needed.
- Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
5. International transfers
Personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period unless we are required to keep it for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
